If you are looking for buying a new Web hosting please do not go with Bluehost. I am not saying this because I am jealous of Bluehost or they pay a very less amount for referral, its because I am here to tell you the truth. I recently had a very Bad experience from the Bluehost company and in this post I am going to share it with you everything what happened and till the end Bluehost was not able to Solve the issue.
I am going to discuss in details about the complete incident with all the records I have so that I can bring reality in front of you and save you from Facing the same type of issues. When we start any kind of Business we should always make our Basics strong and also start our Business on a Strong Foundation. So if you are thinking to start your Business and are serious about it please go through this complete incident :
What was the Issue ?
The issue is simple (still not solved by Bluehost). I have hosted three sites on Bluehost hosting. All the three sites were working fine until January 14 , 2013. I am running a blog on Facebook Updates. The rest two sites belongs to my friends and hence will not disclose them here. So my friend contacted me and told me that all the sites are down and please look into the matter. My friends have no Idea about cpanel and that is the reason I take care of everything.
So to solve the issue I started to contact Bluehost. I tried to contact them through whatever way I can which includes Facebook Support, Live chat, email support , Direct call.
Details about the incident :
I am going to tell you everything what happened in details now :
January 14, 2013 : After getting fed-up of Bluehost Online support I contacted them by raising a Ticket. I wrote to them :
All my sites are opening too slow. I am fed up of your Online Support as it is too slow. I do not what is the issue. I even tried to open cpanel but I was not able to open it as it is too slow.. I need assistance immediately.
I got a reply after a day from Bluehost i.e on January 15, 2013 :
I was able to open up cPanel and all of your websites properly without any issue. I wasn’t at work yesterday, but did hear that there were various issues with accounts getting throttled unnecessarily. Perhaps that’s what your account was experiencing yesterday. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Please let us know if you continue to see problems with this.
Still all the sites were down.
I was getting frustrated and then I again contacted there live support. Now this guy started saying that it is issue from client side and is not because of Bluehost. I told him again and again that this is a server issue and Company has to solve it. I again raised another ticket on January 18,2013. Now I even forwarded my chat to the email support team .
They replied me that this issue is on client side and they cannot help me and the server is running fine. I contacted the contacted Live support again on January 19, 2013 but still the issue was not solved and they were again and again saying it was my fault.
Then I made my mind to change the server. I started with the process of changing the server at that moment. I was unable to transfer the database of the server as the database has got some issues while uploading it. This was turning out to be a never ending problem for me and due to this all my other works got Pending.
In the mean time I tried to contact them through Facebook and they were again saying that is my issue. Then I started open War against the company, I wrote this on Facebook and within few seconds people started supporting me. I got more than
Never Buy Bluehost, I am fed of there service and I am trying to contact them from last 15 days through Live chat, email support. I am a highly dissatisfied Customer of Bluehost. My Blog http://fbupdates.com/ is opening slowly. (The reply from your side is that is due to client Side Problem.)
When I try to login into my Bluehost Cpanel again I am facing the same problem. This clearly Shows that problem is at your end.
Now coming to Client Side :
1. I am using Latest Version of WordPress and I am sure almost every Blogger is using it.
2. I am using the Latest Version of a Paid theme (which is used by Professional Blogger (labnol.org) )
3. I am using all the Highly recommended and the Best Plugins on my Blog.
I am into Blogging from last 2 years and this is the first time I am getting such a Bad Response from a Highly reputed World Class Hosting Providers.
People started thinking that the issue is from side as Bluehost also told this. I invited them to try themselves and see if they can do anything. So one guy tried to help me what ever he could but he was not able to do anything as I have tried every method. Then I requested another guy who is a software engineer and he was ready to help me. I gave him my cpanel Login information. He tried almost everything but he was also not able to set the things and then he told me to give a call to Bluehost Support.
I did the same, but again company was not ready to help me and I told this to him. He then called them using skype and we did a conference call but again they were not able to remove the issue. Then Mr. Jithin Mathew tried himself to contact the company through call and even talked to the senior members and still after few hours the sites were not working fine.
Still Now the Problem was not Solved So I asked Mr. Jithin Mathew to transfer my site from Bluehost.
Finally he was able to transfer my site from Bluehost after lots and lots of Hard-work. Not the site is loading in less than 1 second. Now I want to ask BLUEHOST how cam the same Database and same wp-content is working fine on another server and you were just not able to find the Problem. I was able to see the site opening fine on January 29,2013 and the main person who helped me to transfer it was Mr. Jithin Mathew. I am so much disappointed that till the Last Moment Bluehost was not able to Solve the Problem.
So I would like to say you that Think Before Buying Bluehost Web Hosting.
